About This Place

Nestled on bustling Elgin Street in the heart of Ottawa, Little Victories Coffee Roasters - Elgin is much more than your average coffee shop. This vibrant café offers a cozy yet airy retreat for coffee lovers craving expertly roasted brews paired with a welcoming atmosphere and stunning urban views.

Walking into Little Victories, you're immediately drawn to the warm sunlight cascading through large windows that frame lively street scenes and the iconic Confederation Square. The combination of exposed masonry walls and soaring ceilings creates a space that feels both historic and invigorating — perfect for savoring a quiet moment or catching up with friends over a cup.

The menu is a delightful celebration of carefully crafted beverages and fresh pastries. Whether you indulge in their rich, velvety Spiced Latte or a refreshing Iced Americano, each drink is a thoughtful balance of flavor and texture. The matcha offerings, especially the standout Dirty Matcha, bring a unique twist for adventurous palates seeking silky, earthy notes. For tea lovers, the Chai Latte delivers aromatic spices that comfort and energize simultaneously.

No visit would be complete without sampling one of their baked delights. Imagine the warm, flaky layers of a Hot Chocolate Croissant melting in your mouth or the sweet, cinnamon-kissed swirl of their freshly baked Cinnamon Roll. Other treats like the Breakfast Cookie or a moist Blondie add to the experience, making every sip and bite a little victory in itself.

Customers consistently praise Little Victories for exceptional service and an inviting vibe. Raza Khan highlights the prime location facing Confederation Square, appreciating both the excellent coffee and plentiful indoor and outdoor seating. Phil Huynh admires how the sunlight fills the space on a bright day, amplifying the café's charm and making drinks like the Iced Americano and matcha latte shine. A.J., another devoted visitor, is captivated by the café’s cool industrial design and expertly made flat white — a testimony to the baristas’ skill and care.

As Meghana Arelli beautifully puts it, this café transcends just being a coffee spot; it becomes a sanctuary where the world slows down. When feeling low, sitting by those expansive windows with a cup of their finest coffee can uplift the spirit, connecting you with a sense of calm and contentment that’s hard to find elsewhere.

Little Victories Coffee Roasters - Elgin is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates not just great coffee but also thoughtful craftsmanship and a soulful setting. It’s a local gem where every cup, every pastry, and every moment savored quietly becomes a little victory.

Great coffee shop facing Confederation Square with excellent coffee and service to match. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Enjoyed a flat white and one their delicious chocolate chip cookies both mornings I was in Ottawa.

Stopped by here for a coffee and really liked this place. I like the exposed masonry walls and it has a really cool vibe inside. It would have been a great place to hang out if I had more time. Had a flat white and it was made well texture and flavour wise. Would recommend if you’re in the area to go check it out.

Service and coffee is great! Try the dirty matcha! Btw, you need a key card for the toilet, just ask for it at the counter. 5/5

They have two locations, and while both are great, this one wins for the view. On a sunny day, the café overlooks Elgin, and the sunlight pours through the large windows, filling the space with a warm glow. The high ceilings and thoughtfully designed interior add to the charm, and the drinks are consistently solid. I tried the iced Americano and matcha latte, both were great but I really recommend the espresso tonic. It gets pretty busy when the weather’s nice, but it’s absolutely worth it.

It’s my favorite place. One of the best coffees if not THE best coffee in Ottawa. Period. When I am feeling low, sitting in the coffee shop next to those huge windows or wall and having that amazing coffee, gazing out makes me feel better. :)

Quaint coffee shop both industrial yet modern looking! Both indoor tables and out door patio wooden tables available for relaxing and enjoying their delicious products. We are visiting from Columbia MO had Mocha's and one superb ginger cookie. No restrooms at this location therefore minus one star due that fact! Very clean inside and they remember your name to bring your paid items to your table! Definitely recommend they are bilingual.

A very cool cafe at the top of Elgin St. This cafe has a unique industrial/modern look with lots of seating inside and outside. The coffee is always great, the staff are very friendly and their service is top notch. The cookies are worth trying. It seems to always be busy here so get here and enjoy their patio before it gets too cold.

I walked by this place on my way to Bluesfest and knew I wanted to go in the next morning. It has a great European vibe with bistro seats out front that are great for people watching. The coffee was fantastic. I got an Oat milk latte and I’ll tell you….it was so good that I’m going back tomorrow. The staff was so friendly and took their time to make the latte perfect but also efficient.
